Read St Maria Goretti’s story below:

Saint Maria Goretti, born in 1890 in Italy to a poor farming family, was martyred at age 11 on July 6, 1902, after resisting sexual assault by Alessandro Serenelli, who stabbed her 14 times. Despite her poverty and lack of formal education, Maria's deep faith led her to forgive her attacker on her deathbed, expressing her desire for his salvation. Alessandro later repented, converted, and testified to her sanctity, contributing to her canonization in 1950 by Pope Pius XII, making her the youngest canonized saint and a patron of purity, youth, and forgiveness. St Maria Goretti’s story is as beautiful as it is tragic.

More about Alden Candles

A company started out of frustration that all candles these days seem to be made out of soy or paraffin. Sure other Catholic beeswax candle companies exist, but are they charging you a fair price?
